This Hall, narrowly missed a demolition order. It is a tribute to the dedication of the local people who faught to save it
and restore it to its former glory.
It is now run by volunteers who give their time
to look after and maintain it.
The stunning surroundings of stained glassed windows, a wooden gothic arched ceiling, and superb sprung dance floor make it a fantastic dance venue. The floor is fast and a pleasure to dance on.
Situated in the grounds of the purpose built village of Charlton Down,
3 miles outstide Dorchester Town Centre.
It is unexpected and idilic!
The hall is accoustically perfect with large numbers of people, and has a -3 decibel echo with only small numbers. Help us fill this venue with dancers. Its cool and airy and very very spacious.
